Quilled Ganesha Miniature for Mother' Day

I wanted to give my mother an unique handmade gift this year and decided to quill a miniature for her...

I started by doing tight coils of with multiple colours of quilling paper..

then i coated them with lots of Sealant to harden them.. wahhh.. they were stone had...

  

Since husband bought for me allot of rhinestones.. I added them too...

As i was getting them together, i started to see something so cute..

I bought a gift box to place this cute piece inside and finally it looked like this when the box was opened!

Buddha Quilled

On Wesak day this year, I just don't know why but I couldn't sleep.. Something in my brain is actually asking me to quill a Buddha... I work up early morning..took my shower and started my work...

I told myself that I should get the drawing right in order to start quilling this.. as I said it turned out beautiful. 

I immediately felt in love with this Buddha as he looked so handsome..hehehe

I put a rhinestone on the forehead and it looked wow.. and I started to make circles of quiling...

I arranged them accordingly and felt that adding red rhinestones will give a beautiful look to the hair...

And I happily wished everyone Happy Wesak Day!!!!

This was how the journey of Yoga's Creation started to begin.. I saw this Ganesha quilled at a blog by Daydreams.. I was so inspired that I really wanted to try one for my house.. As I was doing I realised that this piece was quite dull as there lack of colours.. so I decided add some faux pearls to make it look elegant. And it surely did.. When I first did this.. I started receiving lots of orders for it.. so I started to quill one after one for them...

Moving on it was Uncle Dato Jega's 70th Birthday... So Datin Lalitha wanted an unique doorgift for her guests and she asked me to quilled all this for her...

Phew!!!.. I finally finished them.. it took me nearly 4 full days to complete this order.. but I was very happy that they liked this...

1st attempt to Ganesha Quilling

I was browsing the website for any Ganesha Wall art that I can do by myself for my house at Puchong and yes I finally found this Quilled Ganesha.. When I saw the bigger version.. I never thought I can do it.. So i tried the smaller version..

I just fell in love with paper quilling from that moment onwards and decided to carry on with more after this...

I sent this piece to be framed and the final results was pretty catchy..:-D
